Project Office: Hyderabad
SAATHII’s Hyderabad office was established in September 2005, and serves as the base for field teams working in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
As of early 2026, it hosts teams from the Global Fund HIV and TB projects, and occasional activities of the Vistaara (LGBTQIA+ advocacy) coalition.
Previous projects implemented from Hyderabad have included:
- Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (Svetana)
- Diagnosis and treatment of pediatric tuberculosis (CapTB)
- Integrating HIV and sexual health with the government school- and out-of-school youth programs
- Technology-based intervention to increase retention in the PMTCT cascade (m-Maitri)
- Ending stigma, discrimination and violence against LGBTIQ+ communities (Sangraha)
- Enhancing HIV testing and access to continuum of care in prisons and other closed settings (Subhiksha).
- Social and legal service access for PLHIV and HIV-affected communities (Svavritti)
- Interventions to end/mitigate domestic violence and ensure property rights for women affected by HIV/AIDS (POLL)
- Training and technical assistance for organizations providing care and support for orphans and vulnerable children
- Need-based TA to government and civil society sector.
