Voices of our Stakeholders
“It is a matter of pleasure to acknowledge SAATHII as a pioneer in the field of detecting and creating awareness about the STD, HIV (AIDS), Hepatitis and TB among the jail inmates since Feb 2018. This has mainstreamed the marginalized prison inmates into national health programme by active participation and creating ART links at central jails.
I congratulate on the occasion of publishing the magazine which will manifest their efforts and further creating awareness among people”

“I am a prison inmate since 2016. Currently I work as a Prison Peer Volunteer. I motivate the new inmates to screen for HIV, TB and STI at FICTC. I took support of Mr. Balaram Namdev,, PPM, Subhiksha in providing counseling to reactive clients and motivate them for confirmatory test and further to ART medicines. I sincerely thank Project Subhiksha for the interventions to mainstream prison inmates. It’s really a good initiative. I learnt a lot being a Prison Peer Volunteer and this work gives me self-satisfaction. I thank SAATHII whole heartedly.

There are many NGOs working inside the correctional home. But, the way SAATHII is doing a noble job by diagnosing the HIV among the inmates and working with one to one for facilitating early treatment is remarkable. Being part of this program and serving inmates living with HIV is blessings of god. I will be happy to continue being part of this program after my release also.
