Imphal

The Imphal Field Office of SAATHII Imphal, Manipur was established in January 2009. This was an important milestone in SAATHII’s growth and work in North-Eastern India. Our work in the region was initiated by the Calcutta Office in 2004 and later supported also by the Hyderabad Office (from 2007-08). Important focus areas so far have included building capacity of NGOs, CBOs and PLHIV networks in community mobilization, gender and sexuality, human rights, sexual health, BCC development, PPTCT, documentation, advocacy and also providing technical support to State AIDS Control Societies and other partners. Fostering civil society-government linkages in the context of National AIDS Control Programme – Phase III is also a focus area
